My drone was created for a school project. We needed to create something and I decided I wanted to create a drone, from scratch.

I started by designing and 3d printing a base for the drone, using the size of an arduino we had on hand as a refrence for how big I wanted. I also 3D printed carbon fiber propellers to attach to my brushless motors.

Since everything was 3D printed it wasnt perfect, but I can say I made everything of this drone, besides the motors and motor controllers. I programmed the arduino to use gyroscopic data to adjust propeller speed to stay up, and designed and printed the base and the propellers.

I powered the drone using a spare 9.6v NiCad battery I had.

The journey was long and hard for this project. The hardware ultimately was not powerful enough to compute all the data needed to keep in flight permanently, however it would fly for a few seconds.
